OVERVIEW
This journey, which begins at JR Musashi-Itsukaichi Station, is not just a simple tour of filming locations.
We will visit Sannai Shrine and its symbolic "Mountain-Embracing Oak Tree," and learn in depth about the behind-the-scenes aspects of anime production, such as landscape reconstruction, from the creators accompanying us.
Participants will directly experience Japanese spirituality and the overwhelming power of nature, and share their experiences with each other while admiring the spectacular view from Mount Konpira.
This is a story of transformation from a fleeting tourist to a "guardian of the camphor tree" who deeply loves the region, rather than simply being a consumer of local resources.
Welcome to the world of the film "The Guardian of the Camphor Tree." This tour is not just a visit to filming locations, but a special pilgrimage that allows you to experience the behind-the-scenes aspects of anime production and Japan's deep-seated reverence for nature.
While learning about landscape reconstruction from a creative perspective, we will visit sacred groves and the "Mountain-Embracing Oak," which exudes an overwhelming vitality.
Why not embark on a journey that allows you to experience Japan's beautiful spirit firsthand, transforming you from a fleeting tourist (consumer) into a "guardian" who loves this region beyond national borders, and truly connecting with others?

HIGHLIGHTS
Animator-led production team involved in the planning! Relive the behind-the-scenes perspective of the production. Creators who worked on the animation production of this film are involved in the planning and production of this tour. The tour is structured so that you can experience firsthand perspectives and behind-the-scenes stories from the production site through the guide and program, such as how discrepancies between real-world scenery and animation were corrected, and how landscapes were reconstructed to fit the story. It's an experience that goes beyond simply visiting filming locations, where you can feel that "the resolution of your understanding of the work has suddenly increased" and "the way you look at landscapes has changed" by learning how it was made.
The symbolic core of this program is the "Great Oak Embracing the Mountain" and an experience of nature. Starting in Musashi-Itsukaichi, we will quietly touch upon the "spirit of the sacred forest and trees" at Sannai Shrine. Further on, we will visit the Fukasawa area and have time to confront the "Great Oak Embracing the Mountain," which is positioned as the "symbolic core time" of this tour. Afterwards, we will take a light hike up Mt. Konpira, and while gazing at the magnificent view of the Kanto Plain from the summit, we will summarize the connection between the worldview of the artwork and the local culture.
An experience that goes beyond fleeting local consumption, transforming tourists into "guardians" This tour is not aimed at fleeting local consumption that only tracks numbers such as visitor numbers and economic effects. **The biggest highlight of this tour is its aim to cherish "hearts" before numbers, fostering a deep attachment to the region, and transforming mere tourists into "guardians" who love the area (and increasing the number of guardians)**.
