~A Cycling Monitor Tour Utilizing E-Bikes in the "Mountain Side of Tokyo," Just One Hour from the City Center~
As part of the development of new tourism content in the Tama area of Tokyo (Akigawa Valley), we will be holding a free monitor tour for travel industry professionals on Thursday, January 23, 2025: the "Musashi-Itsukaichi Station → Kanoto-iwa Cycling Tour." This tour will start from JR Musashi-Itsukaichi Station and cover a course of approximately 15-18km, using electric-assist bicycles (E-bikes, etc.) to reach "Kanoto-iwa," a Tokyo Metropolitan Government-designated natural monument. We are seeking participants from the travel industry who are looking for new products for inbound tourism and adventure tourism, and we would appreciate your feedback through on-site experience.
Tour Highlights
Experience the pristine landscape of "Tokyo's backyard": Ride along the clear waters of the Akigawa River, passing through tranquil villages and rural mountain paths, experiencing a side of Tokyo's nature distinct from the city center.
Visit the mystical power spot, "Kobe Rock": At the halfway point of the tour, dismount your bike and explore the valley nestled between massive rock walls on foot. Admire the breathtaking beauty of the formations carved by water over countless years.
A route designed for beginners: The elevation changes are generally gentle, and electric-assist bicycles are available for rent. Even those without much physical stamina can participate with confidence.
